The sake brewer is Kentoku Winery, the only winery in Sagamihara City, Kanagawa Prefecture. By disseminating information from Kanagawa, which is close to the city center, it is important that as many people as possible have contact with Japanese wine.
 
Manufacturer Quato:  "Since 2014, we have been working on farm development and opening a vineyard, and in 2019 we harvested our first grapes and released "Kanagawa Wine" through contract brewing to Yokohama Winery. Since then, it has been brewed at various wineries. In January 2023, we obtained a fruit liquor manufacturing license and began brewing in-house. Exploring the "taste of Sagamihara".
 
We use MEGUMI, a red wine made from 100% Sagami-grown grapes grown on our own farm."

Generally speaking, environments with little rain and large temperature differences are considered suitable for winemaking. Although some believe that Kanagawa Prefecture is not suitable for growing grapes, Kentoku Winery takes the time to cultivate grapes, is particular about their favorite varieties, and has created wine that is unique to Sagamihara. It has received high praise from the industry.
 
The berry-like sweetness of the red wine and the pleasant astringency of the tannins can be felt firmly in the soft texture of the coffee.
